We offer two different workshops on change. Leading Through Change has been designed for supervisors and managers dealing with the pressures of change. Change for Individuals Undergoing Transitions helps team members understand and adjust to change.
Workshop Overview--Leading Through Change
In today’s workplace professionals are increasingly confronted with the need to change. Advancing technologies, layoffs, mergers, new policies and procedures, shifting responsibilities and reorganizations offer challenging environments that require significant psychological shifts. To be successful at adapting, leaders must understand how to respond with the right behaviors and thoughts that move their teams through change. Leading Through Change offers a window into understanding why people react as they do to change.
The foundation for the workshop is the William Bridges Change Transition Model. This model involves understanding the three phases, identifying behaviors associated with each phase and knowing best strategies for working through the stages. It offers ways to internalize what is happening and allow differing needs to be supported by the team. The concepts enable leaders the ability to minimize dysfunctional behavior, understand reactions to change and decrease job disruption.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of the workshop, participants will:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the psychological stages of change transition.
- Deepen self-understanding of characteristic behaviors and emotions for each phase of change transition.
- Actively cope, manage and move teams through change.
- Build skills to strategically address team and individual reactions to change.
